Garden Centre trip

We had a great time at Hillmount Garden Centre which we visited to link with our topic. 

Our guide started off by showing us some nice flowers and explaining how to care for them.

Next we look at some newborn chicks who had been previously in their shell in the incubator!

Then it was off to have a go, or two, on the dinosaur slide!

Just inside, after that, we petted brother and sister kids. Their mum was very protective and leaned over the pen to keep an eye on us.

In the greenhouse we all planted sunflower seeds. We talked what would help it to grow. Robyn, the owner, gave us some special instructions. Since then we've been regularly updating Miss Ward about how tall our plants have grown and how many leaves they have.

Finally we visited the cafe for juice in biscuits! What a busy morning!
