Lord Mayor’s visit to Holy Rosary

Councillor Kate Nicholl, Lord Mayor of Belfast, visited Holy Rosary Primary School this morning. Esther, a Primary 5 Rights Ambassador, wrote a letter inviting her to visit our school and hear about all the fantastic work going on. We were delighted to host the Lord Mayor and tell her about our school and the work of the Rights Ambassadors. The children also asked questions such as - What sparked your interest in politics? What is your favourite thing about being Lord Mayor? Can you tell us about community groups you have worked with? What are your expectations for the future?

We are very proud of all the children who work hard every day to uphold their and others’ rights.
