Outright 2015
1st Nov 2015
Holy Rosary Primary School will be taking part in OutRight 2015 on 20th November.
Our school is joining UNICEF in speaking out about children’s rights, and specifically the rights of children affected by humanitarian emergencies.
20th November marks the anniversary of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. OutRight celebrates this anniversary by calling on our Rights Respecting Schools to take action to promote children’s rights.
By taking part in OutRight, our pupils will be contributing their voices to a key area of Unicef UK’s work in the coming months: promoting and protecting children’s rights in humanitarian emergencies around the world.
Children taking part in OutRight 2015 will:
1. Learn about how humanitarian emergencies impact on children’s rights around the world
2. Develop their knowledge and understanding of the Convention on the Rights of the Child
3. Speak out and express their views on children’s rights to their school community and the UK Prime Minister
