OutRight Day 2015
OutRight is marked by 'Rights Respecting' schools. It is a celebration of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. It took place on November 20th, the anniversary of the Convention. This year OutRight focused on Children's Rights in humanitarian emergencies - empowering our pupils to speak out and share their views on protecting children affected by these crisis.
In Holy Rosary it was marked from P1-7 with some very meaningful discussion in classrooms. P3-7 attended an OutRight assembly. P6 live tweeted UNICEF with questions about the convention and P7 got involved with letter writing. Attached are pictures images of work from P2, 3 & 4 classes from lessons based on OutRight themes that day.
